SOUR PATCH: REIMAGINED

This project required me to re-design the packaging of Sour Patch Watermelon candies in the style of various other things (movements/designers etc.). Below are my initial sketches and the final renderings of my favorite designs.

SYNAESTHESIA

For this project, I visualized some songs on my Spotify library. I worked in a very organic manner, just putting down whatever came to mind as I listened to each song on a loop.

THE MOTLEY

This was a quick branding exercise that stemmed from patterns and color schemes I created in a color theory class. I created a coffee/tea shop called 'The Motley Brew,' with the drinks based on the color schemes I produced.

RHYTHM

This is an exercise from a typography class in which I was tasked with creating simple and expressive posters representing a word of my choice. One of the posters then had to be animated. I chose the word 'rhythm'.

MODERNISM/
POSTMODERNISM DISCOURSE

This is an exercise from a typography class in which I was tasked with typesetting and designing four essays on modernism and postmodernism, and making them into a printed publication. Mockups of selected spreads can be found below and the PDF of the full publication can be found HERE.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

Although I am primarily a UX designer, I really enjoyed working on these various print projects as they helped me to improve my layout, typography, and color skills.
